Tips for your wedding planning checklist
What should you book first for a wedding?
The budget and the guest list come before any booking, because they decide the size of the venue. After that, book what has the fewest options on your date: usually the venue, the officiant and the photographer. Other suppliers fit around them.
How do you handle the legal side?
Marriage rules depend on the country, state or county: where to give notice, which documents you need and how far ahead. This list has one item for it on purpose. Look up the official office that registers marriages where you will marry, and add their steps as items under "Venue and legal".
How do you share the planning with a partner or planner?
Press Share link and send the address. The link holds the whole list, ticks included, and opens as a copy for them. Because copies do not sync, agree on one person who keeps the master list and sends a fresh link after changes.
How do you keep track of suppliers?
Give every supplier its own item and write the essentials into the text when you book: name, what is included and when the next payment is due. Keep the contracts in one shared folder. A month before the day, go through the list again and confirm times and arrival details with each one, then tick them off as they reply.
What goes in the emergency bag for the day?
Small things that fix small problems: a sewing kit, safety pins, stain remover, plasters, tissues, phone chargers, snacks, water and a copy of the schedule with the suppliers’ phone numbers. Give it to someone who is not in the photos.

Can I add a timeline with dates?
Rename the sections to the dates you choose, such as "Nine months before" or a specific month, and move items between them by editing.
Can I print the checklist for a planning meeting?
